A Note on 280E

IRC Section 280E remains the law as of today — cannabis is still Schedule I, meaning most business expense deductions are disallowed and operators pay taxes on gross profit, not net income. Proper COGs structure is built into every engagement we take on, not treated as an optional add-on.
